The Ramsey Cascades

The Ramsey Cascades Trail in Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a popular and moderately strenuous hike to the park’s tallest waterfall. The trail, which is part of the Trails Forever program, is 4 miles long and gains nearly 2,200 feet in elevation. The trail is undergoing full-scale rehabilitation and is closed on weekdays. The hike passes through an old-growth forest and leads to the 100-foot Ramsey Cascades.To reach Ramsey Cascades from Pittman Center, TN, head north on US-321 towards Gatlinburg. Turn right into the Greenbrier entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Follow signs for Ramsey Cascades Trailhead, which is approximately 4.7 miles from the Greenbrier entrance.
